The first weekend when SURF kicked up was awesome! We had about 20 people on both Saturday and Sunday, enthusiastically coming together to SURF and SERVE…creating an urban oasis!

Lai Hock briefing everyone before we start for the day

Getting our portable canopy up and running...

Ser Hock gets the initial drilling started!

And then the lorry rolled in with bricks, hollow blocks, sand and cement!

Bricks of love...

Doing some housekeeping before we bring in the materials..

Getting the cement all nicely mixed...

Getting the little volcanic cement mix in shape!

Sir, Cement mixed and ready for inspection Sir!

Uncle Lay shows us the ropes as we gather around and learn the find art of laying bricks!

Laying out the foundation for the site...

The building blocks of our planter beds are up...

Everyone gets into action, even all the way from Thailand..Marisa!

"Adopt a Brick" is initiated and we go on a signature frenzy!
The first weekend was truly packed and activity filled start to the SURF Initiative. Thank you all for your contributions!
